Complete ABA/VBA program (center and/or home-based options):
This service includes completion and maintenance of the ABLLS (Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills), set-up of a center and/or home based program developed from results of the ABLLS and the verbal behavior approach to applied behavior analysis (Discrete Trial programs also available if desired). An ecletic approach is used incorporating the methods of ABA, VB, Floortime, and P.L.A.Y to best meet each child's individual needs. Also included is training of parents and in-home therapy staff. Center based programming is available at our Dayton, Ohio location only. Home based programs available throughout Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky.
Specific behavior training/Ongoing behavioral support:
Much like the famous english caregiver on television that visits homes and directs parents how to improve their childs behavior, Anderson Behavioral Consulting offers consultations and training regarding behaviors specific to your child and his/her environment. After observation and analysis of the behavior(s), parents/caregivers will be trained in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and taught how to appropriately respond to undesired behaviors so that the undesired behaviors no longer occur.
Facilitated Play Sessions
Children will be paired with one other child (initially; eventually working up to 4 children total in a room) and each child will have a 1:1 therapist. Based on the child's social strengths and weaknesses an individualized treatment plan will be written and executed through these play sessions. We will use natural environment teaching(NET) to work on things such as turn taking, following directions, appropriate play with toys, requesting things from peers, pretend play, sharing, etc. Sessions will be once a week for one hour (schedule to be determined based on the needs of each family participating). A six week commitment is required.
